Assembly Constituencies Lists in India
The candidates who are going to appear in Staff Selection Commission Examinations or State Public Services in different states must be read this article. It is useful to them for General Studies paper.
What is vidhan Sabha-
Vidhan Sabha is also known as the “Legislative Assembly”. It is lower house in the states with bicameral legislature. The members are elected directly by universal adult franchise. The highest number of elected members can be 500 and lowest 60. But in case of special states/UT like Sikkim, Goa,Mizoram & Puducheery are less than 60 i.e. 32,40,40 & 30 respectively. The elected members are known as MLAs. The term of the Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly” is five years.
